1.Democracy_Caucus_NY_25_Sep.2012_2Mongolia is frequently named as an example for a successful process of democratization in peaceful ways, including simultaneous political and economic transformations, and as President of the Community of Democracies, it readily shares its knowledge and experience.

During its presidential term – as of July 2011 - Mongolia has been committed to active contributions to the common causes of strengthening democracy and promoting human rights. The top priorities set by the Mongolian Presidency include fostering education for democracy (a purpose for which a new working group within the Community’s framework has been established), supporting civil society, and strengthening regional cooperation within the Community.
