The Community of Democracies welcomes Martyna from Poland to #CoDYouthLeads team

 

Martyna Krysztofińska, Poland 

Martyna graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, combining her interest in human rights and European Union law in her master’s thesis. She is also a graduate of the English-language specialization in International Organizations as part of the Academy of Young Diplomats of the European Academy of Diplomacy. She gained international experience by studying at the Panthéon-Assas University in Paris and completing an internship at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Brussels, where she co-organized and participated in numerous official events at the European level, incl. on migration policy, the rule of law and the protection of human rights activists. She is fluent in English and French and privately is interested in psychology, literature and art history. As a lawyer, the topics of democratization, upholding of human rights and encouraging civic (youth) participation are very close to her heart. At UNAP she coordinates the Poland 3D: Dialogue, Debate, Diplomacy program, which organises among others meetings with diplomats and officials for UNA members. She is also the initiator of one of our most recent publications – “Art of diplomacy: Diplomacy through art” and is also currently coordinating a grant competition we have initiated for NGOs working in the area of equality and cultural diversity”.
