Lithuania to host the Community of Democracies Governing Council

Member States of the Community of Democracies (CoD) will gather in Vilnius for the 39^th session of the CoD Governing Council, to be hosted by Lithuania on November 7^th on the margins of the Future of Democracy Forum. The Community of Democracies is an intergovernmental coalition of states now led by its new Secretary General dr. Mantas Adomenas- former Deputy Foreign Minister of Lithuania.

The Governing Council will feature discussions among Member States on vital democracy-related issues including countering disinformation as well as a new vision for the CoD under the leadership of dr.  Adomenas in the lead-up to its 25^thanniversary.

Lithuania is a long-standing Member State of the Community of Democracies and a co-chair of its Working Group on Women and Democracy.
