A Pilot Study and Counter-FIMI Toolbox for Diplomats: A Conceptual Framework

According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Risk Report 2024 the Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) has emerged as one of the most severe global risks as “the disruptive capabilities of manipulated information are rapidly accelerating”. Diplomats are often on the frontlines of combating false narratives and fostering truth in an increasingly contested digital space.

This event presented a Pilot Study on Russia’s Worldwide Information Manipulations on Telegram and X and introduced a Conceptual Framework designed to equip diplomats with innovative tools to navigate and counter false information and manipulated influence (FIMI).
