CoD Roundtable on Activism at the Kościuszko Forum in Gdańsk

A Roundtable on Activism was held by the Community of Democracies at the Kościuszko Forum, organized  in Gdańsk by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the framework of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The roundtable gathered prominent activists to share knowledge and expertise on different aspects of activism including environment for activisms (regulations, crowdfunding, contributions, transnational repressions), thematic activism (youth, democracy, human rights defenders, fundamental freedoms,education, media, cultural heritage and identity preservation), perception of activism (PR, media, disinformation and misinformation, fact finding and sharing), relations between activism and politics (values-based lobbying, diplomacy, negotiations, policy shaping, advocacy), and the future of activism (global and regional perspectives, out-of-the box scenarios).
