Secretary General meets Minister of State Foreign Affairs of Nigeria

Hand in hand: the Community of Democracies and the Government of Nigeria continue the close cooperation. Yesterday, Secretary General of the Community of Democracies, Ambassador Maria Leissner, visited the capital Abuja and met with Minister of State Foreign Affairs, Prof. Viola Adaku Onwuliri.
Secretary General discussed with the Minister issues related to Nigeria's increasing engagement within the Community of Democracies, including Nigeria's upcoming Presidency of the Community, to begin next year. After the meeting, Secretary General continued to Mali, where she will participate in the regional consultations with civil society organized by the Community of Democracies.
