Regional consultations on women’s political empowerment: focus on Latin America
Regional consultations on women’s political empowerment – with focus on Latin America – were held in Mexico City on May 16th.
Very productive discussions were held at the regional consultations on gender equality and political empowerment of women, organized by International Idea, Community of Democracies and UNDP on May 16th in Mexico City. Previous consultations were held in Tunis – with focus on the MENA region and Johannesburg- focusing on Africa.
Consultations were organized as part of the ”Political Empowerment of Women” project aimed at reducing the gender gaps in political participation.
