”Democracy is the best path to peace and stability ”–  SG Thomas E. Garrett presented the findings of the Democracy & Security Dialogue final report at ”The Role of EU and NATO in providing peace and security in Europe” conference on January 13, 2018.

The event , organized by the European Academy of Diplomacy (EAD) and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Poland, gathered 200 students from 40 countries and hosted a number of key EU and NATO experts as well as representatives of both organizations. The conference was held on January 13th in Cracow, Poland.

The Democracy & Security Dialogue final report, published in September 2017, found that liberal democracy, when allowed to consolidate and flourish, is the best option for achieving domestic and international peace and security.
