Solidarity through Democratic Norms and Principles

Challenged by this global health crisis with its social and economic consequences, international solidarity and continued cooperation among governments, civil society and the private sector are more necessary than ever.  Upholding the democratic norms and principles of the Warsaw Declaration, such as public access to information, equal access to public services and good governance and the rule of law, are an important part of an effective response to this crisis.

Adhering to official health and safety guidance in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus, the Permanent Secretariat of the Community of Democracies (PSCD) is relying on online services and new technologies to continue working on current and future activities, in cooperation with the Community of Democracies’ Governing Council and with civil society organizations.

At this difficult time, the PSCD offers its wishes of health and safety to you and your family.
