Democracy Platform Meeting in Geneva

12-13 February, 2024

In the lead up to the 55th session of the UN Human Rights Council, the meeting of the CoD-led Democracy Platform gathered representatives of the Governing Council Member States, staff representatives from the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and Geneva-based civil society organizations. The meeting discussed upcoming activities in advance of the UN HRC session, and was hosted by the Permanent Mission of Poland.

The meeting was opened by CoD Secretary General Thomas Garrett and H.E. Ambassador Zbigniew Czech, Permanent Representative of Poland to the United Nations in Geneva, who provided welcoming remarks.
