New collective leadership of the Community of Democracies
The newly elected Executive Committee will collectively lead the Community of Democracies from 2017 to 2019.
The U.S. Presidency of the Community of Democracies (2015-2017) was concluded at the 9th Governing Council Ministerial Meeting, hosted by the United States Secretary of State Mr. Rex Tillerson on September 15th in Washington D.C.
As of September 15th 2017, seven members of the newly elected Executive Committee (Chile, Norway, Poland, Republic of Korea, Romania, Sweden, UK) will collectively lead the Community of Democracies for the period from 2017 to 2019.
Norway assumed the first term of the rotating chairmanship of the Executive Committee between 15 September and 15 March 2017.
