

Presentation of the Russia’s Worldwide Information Manipulations on Telegram and X: A Pilot Study and Workshop on Countering Russian FIMI
CoD Event at the Polish Embassy in London
On March 27, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London hosted the CoD event with presentation of the Pilot Study on Russia’s Worldwide Information Manipulations on Telegram and X, which explores how Russian operations are shaping conversations on global social media platforms. The event also presented the Counter-FIMI Toolbox for Diplomats, which outlines a set of recommendations for western diplomats to navigate and counter the threat of false narratives and disinformation.

‘We need to devise our defence capabilities against misinformation as it is as real a threat as drones and bombs’ – emphasized Secretary General Dr. Mantas Adomenas.
The event also featured a panel discussion on how diplomats can effectively counter Russian FIMI, with participation of Dr. Ofer Fridman, Senior Lecturer in War Studies at King’s College London and co-author of the Pilot Study; Agnieszka Legucka, Deputy Director, Department of Strategy, Ministry of Foreign A2airs of Poland, and SG Adomenas, moderated by Nigel Gould-Davies, International Institute for Strategic Studies.
