Regional consultation on gender equality and political participation of women
“There is no democracy without the full political participation of women” – highlighted Secretary General Maria Leissner at the MENA region consultations on gender equality and political empowerment of women, held in Tunis.
Regional consultations on gender equality and political empowerment of women were organized by International Idea, Community of Democracies and UNDP. The event was held on April 12th and gathered representatives from governments, female members of parliaments, civil society and academics from 8 countries.
