On March 16-19, 2025 Secretary General Mantas Adomenas joined international leaders, trade and technology experts at the Yushan Forum in Taiwan, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan (R.O.C.) and Taiwan-Asia Exchange Foundation to foster regional dialogue and expand global partnerships for cooperation.

In his keynote speech, SG Adomenas spoke of the need to rebuild powerful democratic narrative, adapting it to the realities of the 21st century and taking on board experiences and concerns of the societies outside of the West. He also emphasized that democracies should become more proactive and assertive to regain initiative in global agenda-setting.

On the margins of the Forum, SG participated in several bilateral meetings including with the President Lai Ching-te,Secretary-General of the National Security Council Joseph Wu Jaushieh, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs François Chih-chung Wu, and and Cyber Ambassador-at-Large Audrey Tang.
