The Role of Youth in Democratic Resilience


A panel discussion with young key stakeholders on the margins on the 73rd United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) will address the important role that youth play in democracy strengthening, common challenges to youth’s civic engagement and political participation in democracies, and possible concerted action in response to these challenges.

7th High Level Meeting of the Inter-Regional Dialogue on Democracy (IRDD) on “Sustainable Democracy and SDG 16: Path towards achieving Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions” will discuss implementation of SDG 16 and how global and regional organizations can cooperate to move forward the 2030 Agenda and more specifically Goal 16.
